Functions of the Vice President

Article. 104 of the Constitution provides that the Council shall elect one of the members appointed by Parliament a Vice President. These replace the President in case of absence and inability, and the President shall exercise the functions delegated to him.

Specifically, the Vice President:

  • gathering chairs the plenary (the so-called plenum), unless the President decides not to do so - Head of State;
  • chairing the disciplinary section of the High Council of the Judiciary;
  • chairs the Presidential Committee
